Rym Ayadi

Senior Research Fellow and Head of Research of the Financial Institutions and Mediterranean Programs at the Centre for European Policy Studies, Rym Ayadi is Coordinator of MedPro (Mediterranean Prospects). Her fields of expertise cover Middle East and Africa with a focus on political, social, business and financial markets developments. She is senior expert in several projects on the region, and she managed large projects on financial services, trade, enterprise, consumer and foreign policies. She participates in WP1: Conceptual Framework, WP2: Outreach, WP3: Training, WP4a: EU-GCC cooperation in the investment and finance sectors, WP4b: EU-GCC cooperation in the economic and trade sectors, WP 7: Policy Proposals. Emrah Arbak

Researcher at CEPS, specialized in financial services, public finance and corporate governance issues, Emrah Arbak previously worked as a consultant for the Corporate and Public Strategy Advisory Group (CPS), in Brussels. Between 2004 and 2006, Dr. Arbak was a postdoctoral researcher at Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS). Prior to this academic position, he worked as a senior research aide at the Fiscal Affairs Program of the Rockefeller Institute of Government, in New York. Dr. Arbak holds a PhD degree in Economics from State University of New York at Albany, which he received in 2004. He participates in WP1: Conceptual Framework, WP2: Outreach, WP3: Training, WP4a: EU-GCC cooperation in the investment and finance sectors, WP4b: EU-GCC cooperation in the economic and trade sectors, WP7: Policy Proposals. Willem Pieter de Groen

Research Assistant at CEPS, he will be assisting on the research on EU-GCC financial relations. He has a Masters Degree in Finance from VU University, in The Netherlands. His most recent publications are on the Basel III Agreement implementation in Europe and regulation of European banks. He participates in WP1: Conceptual Framework, WP2: Outreach, WP3: Training, WP4a: EU-GCC cooperation in the investment and finance sectors, WP7: Policy Proposals. Salim Gadi
