IAI Team Members
Director of IAI and The International Spectator, IAI’s English journal, Ettore Greco is not only a well-established journalist, a former visiting fellow at the Brookings Institution and a renowned Italian professor, he is also in charge of the Transatlantic Relations Department at IAI. His areas of expertise include: transatlantic relations, common foreign and security policy and the Balkan region. He participates in WP2: Outreach, WP3: Training, WP5b: Research on Transport and Maritime Security and WP7: Policy Proposals.
Deputy director of IAI, Nathalie Tocci is the head of the EU and its Neighbourhood Department, as well as Associate Editor of The International Spectator. After obtaining her PhD in International Relations at the LSE, she worked for numerous research centres, including the Centre for European Policy Studies, in Brussels, and the Transatlantic Academy, in Washington DC. Her areas of expertise are: EU’s foreign policy, Turkey and the Middle East. She participates in WP1: Conceptual Framework, WP2: Outreach, WP3: Training, WP5b: Research on Transport and Maritime Security and WP7: Policy Proposals.
Researcher at IAI in the Mediterranean and Middle East Programme, Silvia Colombo is the Sharaka coordinator and a PhD candidate at the Istituto Italiano di Scienze Umane, in Florence. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Near and Middle Eastern Studies at SOAS, in London, and acquired extensive field research experience during numerous travels to the Middle East. Her areas of expertise include: Euro-Mediterranean relations, transatlantic relations in the Mediterranean and political developments in the MENA region. She participates in WP1: Conceptual Framework, WP2: Outreach, WP3: Training, WP5b: Research on Transport and Maritime Security and WP7: Policy Proposals.
Professor of International Law and IAI Scientific Advisor, Natalino Ronzitti has lectured as visiting fellow and scholar in residence in numerous universities in Europe and the United States. He was advisor to the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defence as well as the Italian Mission at the Conference on Disarmament in Geneva. His areas of expertise are: international law, international maritime law, international humanitarian law, use of force, and UN reform. He participates in WP5b: Research on Transport and Maritime Security.
